Available Apprenticeship Opportunities:
We are currently recruiting for the following trades:
Diesel Mechanic
Boilermaker Plater
Electrical
Fabricator (including machining)
Purpose of the Apprenticeship
The reason for this apprenticeship programme is to educate and promote people to grow into certified tradesmen by gaining structured knowledge of and practical journey at Marula Mine.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should possess:
Grade 12 / STD 10 / NQF Level four equivalent – essential
A minimum of N2 certificate with 4 (4) whole subjects or NCV Level 4, with subjects relevant to the exchange – essential
Willingness to:
Undergo a proficiency and psychometric assessment
Participate in a formal interview
Obtain a scientific health certificate (red card) and carry out heat tolerance screening (HTS)
Key Performance Areas
As a phase of the apprenticeship, successful candidates will:
Undergo structured trades training
Assist qualified tradesmen and perform technical duties which include repairing, replacing and maintaining equipment
Complete engineering education phases via both on-the-job and off-the-job learning
Become familiar with Marula Mining Rules, Protection Protocols and Engineering Standards
Learn and work under the supervision of a mentor (craftsman or foreman)
Perform fault diagnosis, problem solving and correct reporting
Maintain engineering tools to stop manufacturing loss
Gain simple supervisory experience
