REQUIREMENTS : Minimum instructional qualification: Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Inherent necessities of the job: Ability to work shifts, which include weekends and public holidays. Must be healthful and sturdy adequate to carry heavy objects and be on their ft the whole day. Dress in accordance to departmental specs and adhere to Hospital Policy -Interpret recipes, use a scale and do simple sums. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of manufacturing for ordinary and therapeutic diets in an industrial meals carrier unit. Ability to efficaciously interpret standardized recipes and manufacturing planning. Knowledge of hygiene, occupational health, HACCP and protection principles. Ability to safely and correctly cope with industrial equipment. Must be capable to work independently and under pressure.

DUTIES : Pre-preparation and manufacturing of all regular and therapeutic diets. Weigh, dishing up and distribution of affected person meals and beverages. Assist in receipt and storage of all provisions and inventory in the meals carrier unit. Follow right hygiene and protection strategies inside meals carrier unit. Follow and adhere to fundamental manipulate measures and wellknown operational procedures. Cleaning of all work areas, storage areas, utensils and equipment. Assist with casual in-service education of new employees.
