SOCIAL WORK MANAGER (RESTORATIVE SERVICES) GRADE 1 REF NO: 04/12/2022

SALARY : R831 015 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : Standard 10/ Grade 12 plus B Degree in Social Work (NQF stage 7). A minimal of 10 year’s splendid journey in Social Work after registration as a Social Worker with the SACSSP (a replica of registration will be required from shortlisted on or earlier than interview date). A driver’s license is a prerequisite. Competencies: Expert information of the Children’s Act, 2005, Prevention of and Treatment for Substance Abuse Act, 2008, Child Justice Act, 2008, Mental Health Act, 2002 and Restorative Justice Process. Probation Services Act, Domestic Violence Act, Sexual Offence Act. Understanding of the White paper on Families in SA 2018, Understanding of the Generic norms and requirements for Social Welfare services. An appreciation of baby and early life care systems. Inherent enthusiasm for work with youngsters in hostilities with the law. Experience in working with youngsters in hassle with the law. Strategic planning skills, Financial administration skills, Stakeholder members of the family skills, Project administration skills, Leadership and appropriate interpersonal members of the family competencies and Policy analysis. Computer literacy. Good conversation and writing skills. Facilitation, monitoring and assessment skills.

DUTIES : Develop and reinforce relationships with the NGO and Government sectors inside the Criminal Justice System. Analyse insurance policies and enhance programmes for the administration of teens in war with the law. Coordinate different departments and civil society for built-in offerings and programmes for children. Management assist to the Specialist Social Service programmes in line with the legislation, policies, regulatory framework, norms and requirements focusing on the following: Crime Prevention and Support Programmes, Victim Empowerment and Substance Abuse, Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Services. Provide a social work provider of the highest, most superior and specialised nature inside described area(s) of specialization with regard to the care, support, safety and improvement of kids thru the applicable programmes in partnership with stakeholders. Attend to any different things that ought to end result in, or stem from, social instability in any form.
