SALARY : R104 073 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum requirement: Basic reading, writing and numerical skills. Experience: Appropriate ride in a giant scale, Food Service Unit. Appropriate Large Scale Hospital Catering experience. Appropriate trip of therapeutic diets, meals groups, guidance and cooking methods, and pleasant and component manipulate of meals in accordance to standardised recipes. Appropriate journey of the Cook-Chill System. Appropriate ride with patient’s service .i.e. ward hostess. Inherent necessities of the job: Incumbent should be organized to work shifts and additional time which encompass weekends and public holidays. Incumbent must be wholesome and sturdy sufficient to carry heavy objects and be on their toes the whole day. Ability to do work of bodily natures. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of manufacturing for regular and therapeutic diets in an Industrial Foodservice Unit on a giant scale. Knowledge of hygiene, occupational health, HACCP and security principles. Ability to keep proper interpersonal skills. Ability to talk in at least two of the three official languages of Western Cape. Proof of attendance of a Kitchen Hygiene, Kitchen Cleaner or an Assistant Chefs, will be an brought advantage. Ability to characteristic inside a crew and work underneath pressure. The capability to read, communicate and write in at least two of the three respectable languages of the Western Cape.

DUTIES : Pre guidance and manufacturing of all ordinary and therapeutic diets in accordance with the PAWC Food Service Policy. Follow standardised PAWC Receipts and Menus. Weighing, dishing and distribution of meals to a number of wards. Clean and keep the kitchen location and gear as properly adhere to fitness and protection regulations. Dress in accordance to Departmental specs and adhere to Hospital / PAWC Policy. Follow and adhere to Health and Safety prescripts. Follow and adhere to basic manipulate measures and standard operational procedures.
