REQUIREMENTS : Grade 10 certificates (NQF stage 2); plus a legitimate Driver’s Licence Code EC with PrDP and Operating Certificate / Departmental Competency Pink card for specialised equipment; plus Five (5) years’ using and running specialised gear experience. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required: Communication skills. Ability to examine and write. Good eyesight. Teamwork. Skills in the operation of the equipment. Physical inspection of cars and the capability to interpret directions for desirable use of all controls for secure operation of vehicles. Interpret and comply with working manuals, preservation manuals and provider charts.
DUTIES : Perform things to do in admire of operation via inter alia the following: Operating specialised equipment; Load and offload goods/ equipment; Inspection and renovation of tools and document defects; Keep log sheets of cars and machineries; Application of security and precautionary measures; Cleaning and lubrication of equipment equipment; Grading of gravel roads and re-raveling/ shoulder maintenance. Render using services, perform activities in recognize of operation thru inter alia the following: Transportation of work groups and substances / equipment; Detect and restore minor mechanical troubles on the cars and take steps to have it repaired (check degree and situation of oil, fuel, tyres and water); Inspection of the vehicle/ tools and document defects; Complete car logbook, day trip authorization for the vehicle.
